How can it be? This morning Alexander McQueen was found dead in his apartment having committed suicide by hanging. Reports say that he was distraught over the recent death of his mother. No stranger to the dark side, he often used darkness and ugliness as sources of inspiration for his highly theatrical presentations. He recently said "
beauty can come from the strangest places."
I am at a loss for the proper words. The world has lost one of its greatest talents. May he rest in peace in the company of his beloved mother and his friend Isabella Blow (who committed suicide 3 years ago).
